The presentation is part of a new official visit that the German ambassador made to Río Negro and Neuquén to discuss criteria, analyze possible scenarios and reach concrete agreements to promote new lines of productive development.

The Governor thanked the ambassador for choosing the province and emphasized that "we have defined guidelines, such as the incorporation of a green energy matrix that does not produce greenhouse gases, and based on this axis we work with different countries and embassies".

"We are trying to establish connections with companies from different origins that can offer technological solutions and the production of elements that this chain requires to make this project a reality.

We reviewed the advances and aspects of the national law that are decisive for investments to choose Argentina", she added.

"Patagonia offers a very favorable scenario for this productive activity, but we need a more normalized macroeconomy and a law to give reliability to investments", she concluded.

Moreover, Sante said that "80% of Argentina's population has European descendants, which tells us that this is a country that not only has a European history but also a European future. Therefore, we are strategically interested in keeping the country close to us, economically, politically and culturally".

"We need the energy change to save the climate, invest more in renewables, and Rio Negro shows its positioning in the region".

He also highlighted the work of the state-owned high-tech company INVAP, "this shows that Argentina has much more to offer the world than oil and gas and could easily become an integral part of the global knowledge economy".

Advances in Green Hydrogen

Regarding the Green Hydrogen project that the province is carrying out, the Governor stated that "the company is already investing in studies that are carried out through the UNRN (National University of Rio Negro) with workers linked to the environmental impact and prospecting studies".

"There are two SME companies in the Southern Region placing wind measurement towers, with local labor hired in Valcheta and San Antonio Oeste", she added.

She also explained that environmental impact studies are being carried out on the feasibility areas, complying with the established deadlines and waiting for the law to start the civil works.
