Green Hydrogen: Río Negro introduced its potentialities to Korean and German companies

In the context of an agenda of seminars and virtual meetings with leading countries in Green Hydrogen production, the director of RN Invierte, Gonzalo Medina Cabrera, attended two meetings. First, he was present at the virtual seminar "The Development of the Hydrogen Economy in Argentina" organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Argentina, and then, the virtual meeting of the Hydrogen Committee, German-Argentine Association Chambers of Industry and Commerce (AHK).

During the first meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Jang Myung-soo; members of Korea Energy Economics Institute, Dr. Ahn Jiyoung and Kim Ki Hwan, María Herrera, Y-TEC Hydrogen Mission Leader (YPF), and the Secretary of the Korean Embassy, JANG Jinwoo and other companies from the industrial sector of green technologies were present.

In the meeting that brought together leading Korean companies in the field of green hydrogen (H2V), Medina Cabrera presented in detail the potential of Rio Negro as a producer and exporter of green hydrogen.

Like Germany, South Korea is an advanced country in the development of green technologies and H2V production. In this way, this first virtual meeting was very interesting for the representatives of different companies, since they could learn about the work being done by Rio Negro in this field, and the unique local geographic characteristics that positions our province as a new international actor.

During the presentation, the participants focused on the different points of benefit of our region for H2V scale production, emphasizing not only economic perspective, but also based on the synergy between the parties, where there is a technological and knowledge transfer.

At the end of the meeting, the director of RN Invierte answered different questions from the representatives of the attending companies, showing that Río Negro is an important actor that can provide a response to this moment of international energy transition based on green technologies.

The Agency also attended the virtual meeting with the Green Hydrogen Committee, belonging to the German-Argentine Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), and officials of the Executive Power of the Nation.

The Green Hydrogen Committee is an exclusive working group for German member companies, which have an active role in the hydrogen production sector.

During the virtual conference, the director of RN Invierte presented the Green Hydrogen Plan that Rio Negro is carrying out, explaining the strengths and benefits for companies that decide to invest in green technologies in our province.

The companies of the chamber were able to ask questions and learn about the great progress of the H2V project in our province, as well as exchange different enriching perspectives and common points on energy change.

Similar to the meeting with Korean companies producing H2V, Rio Negro showed that both our province and our country could be the main actor of a new stage in the world, in response to the change of the energy paradigm as a producer pole.
