The course for forty students is aimed at those who wish to address in depth the issues of energy, development and in particular Green Hydrogen, from a technical and strategic perspective. It also has a prestigious teaching staff, whose maximum exponent is the scientist from Bariloche, Juan Carlos Bolcich.

The Secretary of State for Planning and Sustainable Development, Daniel Sanguinetti, highlighted the collaborative work with the National University of Río Negro and described the meeting as "a very important moment, because it is the first part and a training at academic level that was missing". He also added, "Although the Green Hydrogen project in the province is moving forward very steadily, other training in trades and professions are also being carried out".

This course will have 172 hours divided into 11 units and will focus on the new energy paradigm, its environmental, social and economic impact, production methods, applications, safety and regulatory framework.

More than 400 applicants registered, with gender diversity. This diploma course is part of the agreement of cooperation entered into the Province and the University in June for the establishment of the Green Hydrogen Institute of Río Negro.

Patricio Solimano, director of the UNRN Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, who is part of the academic team of the diploma course, was pleased with the significant response to the application. "There was a very good reception by the society, more than 400 registered in 10 days, and 45 have managed to attend this first instance in person," he said.

He highlighted the fact that "the University is opening its doors to society and that these debates are beginning to take place, with the active participation of the State".

The Rector of the National University of Río Negro, Anselmo Torres, also attended the beginning of the course virtually via Zoom.
