Río Negro will be present at the Green Hydrogen Global Exhibition

The event will take place in the framework of the Global Assembly and Exhibition of Green Hydrogen 2022, to be held in the Spanish city, on May 17 and 18.

Río Negro will have an active participation at the meeting, which accelerates the world's energy reconversion. Governor Carreras will speak at the Assembly on Tuesday and will present the results of the provincial project, which in addition to energy development and transformation, aims at generating genuine jobs in the short term for the people of Río Negro.

Simultaneously, the Governor will hold meetings with the National Minister of Productive Development, Matías Kulfas, and with John Andrew Henry Forrest, Chairman of Fortescue Future Industries (FFI), which will invest millions of dollars in Río Negro for the production of Green Hydrogen. In addition, Carreras will attend bilateral meetings with officials from different governments of the world to advance in the subject.

The public and private sectors of the world, businessmen, scientists, specialists, referents and environmental NGOs that will attend the Global Assembly and Exhibition will know technical and fiscal details and the legal and regulatory framework that promotes the Strategic Plan of Rio Negro on Green Hydrogen.

Also, the Governor will explain to the main non-governmental organizations and climate activists what is Rio Negro's vision to ensure that the adoption of Green Hydrogen takes place as quickly as possible, but that it is also equitable for all interested parties, including developing sectors and those dependent on emerging economies.

The presentation of the Rio Negro model - within the context of a National Hydrogen Low Emission Strategy for 2030 - will include the steps taken by Rio Negro to become the only project in Argentina with the possibility of producing this clean energy vector.

The Assembly is not a business conference. It is an unprecedented meeting of interested parties from governments, the private sector and public sectors, with the aim of promoting global action to accelerate the adoption of Green Hydrogen.

For this global event, governments from around the world were invited to organize national Green Hydrogen sessions during the assembly. During the event, national strategies to accelerate the production and use of this resource will be presented to illustrate progress towards a low-carbon energy transition.

State Secretary of Planning, Daniel Sanguinetti, will complete the delegation, as well as national authorities.

The CEO of H2 Chile, María Paz de la Cruz; the Minister of Mines and Energy of Colombia, Diego Mesa Puyo; the president of H2 Mexico, Israel Hurtado; the head of the Economics of Climate Change Unit of ECLAC, Santiago Lorenzo; the director of Energy Economics and Environment at Empresa de Pesquisa Energética (EPE), Giovani Machado; and the president of the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) in Paraguay, Félix Sosa will be at the meeting together with the Governor.
